Equipment Warranty.
Effective 15 August 2026 · Gletscher Energy FZCO · United Arab Emirates
Two different warranties cover your system: the manufacturer's on the product, and ours on the installation. This page explains which applies to what, because the answer determines who you claim from and for how long.
01. Two Warranties, Not One
Manufacturer warranty covers the equipment itself and is given by the maker on its own terms. Panels commonly carry a long performance warranty plus a shorter product warranty; inverters, batteries and luminaires carry their own periods. Your handover pack lists the actual period for every item supplied.
Our workmanship warranty covers how we installed it: mounting, cabling, terminations, sealing and commissioning, for 12 months from handover, unless your contract states a longer period.
Claim to us either way. Where the fault is the manufacturer’s we handle the claim with them on your behalf rather than sending you to a foreign supplier.
02. What Is Covered
- Product defects: Failure of supplied equipment within its warranty period under normal operating conditions.
- Installation defects: Anything traceable to how we mounted, wired, sealed or commissioned the system.
- Water ingress at our penetrations: Roof and wall penetrations we made, for the workmanship period.
03. What Is Not Covered
- Wear and consumables: Fuses, filters, seals and items with a stated service life consumed in normal use.
- Third-party work: Modification, repair or extension by anyone we did not authorise. This usually voids the manufacturer’s cover too, so speak to us before letting another contractor onto the system.
- Misuse and neglect: Operating outside the specified conditions, ignoring alarms, or skipping required maintenance.
- External events: Lightning, flood, fire, storm, vandalism, theft, grid surges and voltage events, and animal or pest damage. These are insurance matters, not warranty ones.
- Soiling and shading: Output loss from dust, soiling or new shading: a tree, a neighbouring building, a new rooftop structure. Cleaning is maintenance.
- Cosmetic marks: Scratches and discolouration that do not affect function or safety.
- Modelled yield: Not reaching an estimated generation or saving figure is not a defect. See section 03 of the Terms of Supply.
04. Maintenance You Need to Do
Warranty cover assumes the system is maintained as documented in your handover pack, periodic cleaning, visual inspection, and any manufacturer-required servicing. Keep the records; a claim on a system with no maintenance history is much harder to sustain with a manufacturer.
We offer maintenance contracts. Taking one is not a condition of warranty, but skipping maintenance altogether can be a reason a claim is refused.
05. Making a Claim
- Tell us: Email legal@wisermonks.com with your site, system reference, what is happening, and photos or inverter error codes if you have them.
- Response: We aim to respond within 2 working days and to attend within 7 for a fault that has stopped generation, subject to site access.
- Remedy: Repair, replacement of the affected component, or refund of its value. We choose the remedy proportionate to the fault, and we will explain the choice.
- Cost: Under warranty, parts and labour are ours. If the attendance finds no fault, or a fault falling under section 03, a call-out charge applies. We will warn you of that risk before we travel.
06. Your Statutory Rights Sit Alongside This
This warranty is given in addition to, and does not reduce, your rights under Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection, which entitle you to a remedy where goods are defective, not as described or unfit for purpose, independently of any warranty period. Where the two overlap, whichever gives you more prevails.
